There are two ways you can perform. First, you can strike the outer upper rim and let the bowl ring out. This is particularly beneficial when used for meditation and mindfulness exercises.

You can also make your bowl really sing. When you strike the bowl, don’t pull the striker away abruptly. Instead, rub it steadily along the outer rim in one smooth motion.

The speed and amount of pressure you use will influence the song you and your bowl create together. Because of the healing frequencies, you can easily find yourself getting mindful as you continue to play.
